Windows in my High Top

Post by tally9040 »

I have noticed that the 2 side windows in my High Top roof have vertical joins in the black seal on the top edge. These are weeping a little in the wet and allowing a trickle of water to build up on the inside of the window and run down.
What is the best way to repair this. Do I take out the windows and start again with a whole new seal or just add new sealant to the offending area?
Many thanks in anticipation.

depends on the state of the seals really , as a stop gap something like wynns black instant gasket is good, or simmilar.but the y do harden and perish as well as shrink a little
or I can sell you some new seals :rofl

I will take some pictures and try and upload them. As you can tell from previous posts I am perservering with a bit of a lemon - my own fault, inexperienced buyer etc. I have a lovely VW camper specialist nearby (Moores Motors in Clevedon) but it gets expensive paying someone else to do everything.
How much would seals be ?
