I presume there I should only be able to blow one way thought the fuel filter check valve?
Also which way should the arrow point? I'm guessing towards the pump?

Do you mean the plastic valve on the top of the filter held in with a clip? It's not a check valve it's the fuel heater the arrow points to the tank as it is in the return line.

Yes, I thought it was a check valve. You say it's a fuel heater? How does that work?
