It did have silicone, but it prised off carefully. I guess because it was old. The original warranty seal was still on so it had never been opened before. I did have to re-silicone to be safe.
Thanks for kind offer of hose, however I suspect it would cost more to post. I will check local hardware shop first. If no joy I will PM you and pay you via Paypal?
I guess I only need a few inches to clear the body?

No, there's a minimum distance it has to be away from the intake.

Its 0.5 metre. You can download the instruction manual for fitting and use from the Propex web site. Just Google "Propex instructions" or similar.

Ideally the exhaust should go to the sills/outside body area so that the fumes have very little chance of entering the interior such as through tinworm holes and mouseholes, same as car exhaust etc..
