Without it driving I wouldn't be offering much. There was a supposedly duff engine in mine when it was bought originally. Turned out to be duff gearbox. If someone wants to buy it and swap it for my panel van feel free

Re: Who's is this ?
erm.....................
Best thing about the bus was the guy selling it, he was a top bloke.
The bus?
oooooooooooooooooooffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff
From twenty yards away it looked good BUT
front chassis rails had been replaced with box section and not 'tied in' properly as per factory ones. Numerous patches underside/arches that were to MOT standard, far from cosmetically good................
Bottom 18" all round had been repaired , what welds could be seen were not how i would have done them. LOTS of filler, most of the seams were missing and the ones that were there had been cut into the filler using a 1mm cutting disc. Lots of uneven panels and rippled filler.
Paint had been put over bad metal in places (rear valance for example had numerous holes in it but had fresh paint)
Tailgate inner lower seam didnt exist as was covered in filler.
Was originally from scottish islands i believe. The underside was by far the most corroded i had ever seen, i can not describe it. It was still on original trailing arms.......................................
Engine looked like the staionary engines they use on beaches to winch boats in (corrossian wise
) In the short the underside needed LOTS of investigation and work. Didnt even get as far as brakes/brake lines.
In short, to me its total worth would have been (1) untested front diff (2) untested box (3) JX engine VERY heavily corroded pump/head/block but running (broken turbo though) (4) £80 worth of scrap metal in shell when you had stripped 1,2+3
Didnt drive it but stuff like all the door rubbers were missing. At a very rough guesstimate - to get it (sensibly) roadworthy it would have EASILY killed £1500 (tax/mot/turbo then possible brakes/more welding/poss trailing arms) if you had done it your self.
To get it up and together?

Re: Who's is this ?
This thread totally passed me by. Sounds like a bit of luck!!
Never seen bus before, someone must of bought it though or maybe seller was shamed into removing ad!
