gearbox diff! can it be repaired?

Post by bluket25 »

Hi
My trusted 4 speed box has no drive.
So its been towed to a garage where they have told me the diff has blown?
Can this be repaired?
Just i rang a bristol gearbox company and they said they couldn't help?

Can any one advise me what to do apart from by a new one. Its a good box be a shame to scrap.

i presume they have removed the gearbox from the van?

otherwise can they be sure its not driveshafts / clutch or other related?

if your stuck i should have a used box in gloucester , maybe just to keep you going?

FYI...the diff can be replaced seperately.. diff failure is pretty rare tho.
