Temperature Light

Post by alimali1991 »

Hi, In my T25 the Temp light has started flashing. This is the first time i have noticed it. It has enough water in it. Does anyone know what else i could check.

Thanks

Assuming it's not genuinely too hot, and you're checking the level in the main tank not the overflow one, then the sender (in the back of the main tank) might just need a good clean. If that doesn't help, then it may be a wiring problem - short across the two terminals in the plug on the wiring loom, and see if it still flashes randomly.

Bridging the terminals will simulate a full header tank and on switching the ignition on the light should flash 4 or 5 times (doing it's self-test) and then go out. Remove the bridge wire, switch the ignition on and the light should flash as before but then stay on.

The sensors are known to fail http://www.brickwerks.co.uk/shop?page=s ... ory_id=118 as is the control relay (which John Ghost will no-doubt remind me of the number again  ) Do NOT buy the GSF sensors as they are crap.

I was beginning to wonder about this, phew. No need to worry - for the time being at least!
Why would the glass be anything other than half full?
