Albert the camper is now running. I just need to replace exhaust gaskets as a couple are leaking.
It's taken me 16 hours over the last few days.
I'm going to go to work for a rest tomorrow.

Thanks for all your help. I love this forum.

I'd like to go to a club 80-90 event this year so will be looking out for forthcoming events.

I noticed that when I took the exhaust off from the manifold lots of water came out. I believe it was coolant! Is this normal? There was no water in the oil and no oil in the header tank!

Any ideas?

Water coming out of the silencer box is condensed water, because the byproduct of combustion is water and CO...

No, it's coming from where the exhaust bolts to the engine

The coolant came from where the exhaust bolts to cylinder head, spark plugs also have lots of carbon on tips!
Any ideas? Please

Those HT leads are in a state! When were they last changed?
Plug colour should only be looked at after a high speed run and shutdown

Re water.
The coolant might be coming from the adjacent coolant inlet either the head is cracked, the hose leaks or the gasket leaks

What's worst case scenario? I'm thinking of taking it to gas sure in Chester, anyone used them?

You won't go wrong with gasure - its run by one of the original founders (i think) of 8090....and its where 99.9% of members have their LPG conversions done

Cheers for replies!
I'll go to gas sure and get sorted.
Thanks Kev, not only is my engine knackered but you are also finding me more issue with HT leads.
I'll change them and send another photo.
Will gsf ones be ok?
