Found another 16" in Africa

Post by syncropete »

Over in Sierra Leone for a couple of weeks work. Saw a T3 parked down a side street that looked quite high up. Rear fuel filler- Its a syncro! Plastic Arches and 16" wheels too! It has a huge VHF antenna mount on the front, so I presume its been used by an NGO / Charity at some point and is now being used to transport bottled water. Its standard roof Kombi and very basic. Absolutely rust free (original seam sealer) but absolutely battered and every part has been modified or destroyed. Running an in line 4 Petrol and 2 wd box. Front diff and shafts there.
So I did the right thing and bought the big mirrors and wheel arch covers. It would be a really good shell for a resto but Its far to costly to bring it home and I think its better to let it die peacefully over here. :ok
