Can anyone tell me what these are for (2.1 DJ WBX)

Post by sonic23 »

I've found some loose connections in the engine bay. It's a 2.1 DJ, that's had an LPG.
The below picture shows a connector with a brown and black wire that was just hanging lose. Anyone knoe what this is for?

Also, in the same picture is what I think is a fuel filter (got the white arrow painted on it). It's certainly connected on the fuel return pipe. Whatcha reckon?

Next up are the 2 pipes in my hand. One is plugged, the other isn't. Anyone have any ideas what's going on here?

Second picture, the one on your right is the bellhousing breather, on the left is part of the coolant bleeding rail thingie, should go to the thermostat.

the fuel filter thing is probably one of those magic devices for better running on unleaded - supposedly ok for 20-40k miles, but if it looks hanging I'd remove it.
The two pin plug is probably the oil breather pipe heater element connector. 1 inch rubber hose connects breather tower and 3inch corrugated rubber connecting pipe from afm to throttle body. Should be a connector on the pipes with electrical plug fitting to match the plug.
