Porsche 924 Dash conversion

Post by vwt3bulgaria »

Hi all!

I have a new dashboard and want to know is there a way/chance to be install.

My van is 1.7d from 1989,the dash is from a petrol Porsche 924.
Is it possible to be install it and to work properly.

My biggest question is for the rev counter, because my van hasn't got a rev counter.

Pics will be added tomorrow.

Hello,

I'm pretty sure the rev counter won't work. The petrol one takes the signal from the coil and the diesel one takes the signal from the W terminal on the alternator.

Some can be conveted, but the T3 can't be. I looked into this when my 2.1 MV was changed to TDI. I had to buy a diesel tacho instead.
