Actuating the Locking Diff non standard

Post by Fin »

I got Aiden to build my box last year with a Syncro locking diff
This winter I'm going to hook it up so I can get out of muddy fields and do a bit of drifting
I was wondering if anyone has changed how it actuates from stock set up
I need to fit something to actuate it - maybe a Solenoid or servo - I'd like to keep it electrical if poss - as I won't be balls deep in water and the syncro stuff seems a little fragile (please correct me if I'm wrong of course)
Currently got a toggle switch o the dash, but no inbetweeny bits
Any advice glady absorbed :D

The syncro set is not really fragile...but prone to sticking...however it will still stick however its operated. I would try and stick with the vac system myself.

But I haven't got one as I've added it to my Van..
So was looking to build something a bit more modern/relyable

other than getting a 20 year old system working, it's been fine since. it's just a matter of using them to keep them working well.

Anyone help with the parts that I need - or even a diagram of the system perhaps?
