schoey,jk all of them generally use klokerholm panals my spelling lol some are good some a poorish fit , they all need a bit of tweaking , front arches are the worst and the steps i refuse to fit i remake mine as per original now,
genuine panals are out there but sometimes you need to source worldwide and in 4th world hidey holes . again it realy does depend on what you are replacing and the whole van/package needs to be considered

No, they still have many of their own pressings, and some are bought in and 'branded' most pressings seem to be the same gauge of steel well wings and such are, but its a cross we bear, ive been getting a fair few from jk recently and no probs except damage in transit which got sorted, but thats down to their packing debt and truyst me i have spoken in my own way to it/them
outer lower sill (fridge side) is a very good one from schoeyt and jk , nicely formed and very good steel so whilst i have made my own in the past , its not worth the effort as these are good, and i make my own lower middle panals as i refuse to fit the wrap over thing :rofl

My gaffer gets me to beat repro panels to fit and in turn he beats me when i get it wrong
Must admit i was (naively) surprised when i found out genuine VWOSA panels are only marginally thicker than repro ones (but do appear to fit a tad better)

If you have VERY deep pockets can still get some OE panels from classics/some of German traders but some are BIG BUCKS from what ive seen  :ok

you dont Beat them you attend to them gently and positivly and they respond by complying :rofl which is also why i stated that i would need to consider the whole van/package before doling out €€€€€€ for genuine, agree that often the gen is not much thicker but enough, although the definitions are of course better,
got over new year i see
mm :ok

Mike how do you find repro front arches? Or would it be better to get cuts from a donor?

well if you just want the bit round the filler sort of the rear bit of panal then yes they work but dont rate the arch part or the front bit,
body cut is fine its getting a decent one, ,....I made that part on the ajitvagon, right pain to do, but would like to find a solution as they all need work here,am looking into it and get a pair of dies made for the rear end and then press them out of decent metal

I have a body cut in storage for the front left side as it needs a patch on the arch and where the fuel filler cap would be if it was on that side. I also need a patch for the right side arch as well as around the fuel filler cap but I've not seen one available nearby. I also have the cab steps which I got from vwclassic. One was an original vw step the other was a repro but looks far better than the shcofields/jk steps.

It's not desperate yet as it's only on the arches and I'm not the precious about how it looks. Hopefully they won't hole anytime soon

I also have a case of where the large rear left panel is parting with the rear arch at the seam. Water must be getting in somewhere but it's hidden behing boarding, carpet lining, a cupboard and a vertical LPG tank :?

Oh well :rollin
