Hi all,
Bit of a stupid quesytion but,
I have just become aware that none of my dash switches are backlit, but cant recall if something has changed or its always been like this. Should they be backlit/internally illunitaed or not. The clock/speedo illumination works fine.

Re: Dash switches backlit?
Mine aren't, and have no provision to be either. That said mine is an earlier van, later/higher spec ones may be lit of course.

Re: Dash switches backlit?
Hi,
My switches are the same, but I have illumination on heater controls on a bulb holder with blue/grey wire and brown. I took my dashboard out yesterday to install central locking/alarm. Looking at the switches mine have the fitting to put the bulb holders in but there are not there and i have found them hiding away in the wiring loom. I also noticed there are 2 different types. I need to confirm but these look to be the ones.
Hopefully someone can confirm this otherwise it's buy one of each and fingers crossed there right.

I think this one for rear fog light switch

This one seems to be the more generic one for headlight swtich , heater panel illumination.

Re: Dash switches backlit?
I can confirm that the switches should be backlit and although both of those holders look familiar I couldn't tell you which ones you need ...sorry.

Re: Dash switches backlit?
Certainly some of the switches are the top type, not sure they all illuminate, the bottom bulb is the type for the heater controls.
