painting tinware
If i was to paint my tinware do i need to drop the engine or can i take bits off to do. its for a 2 litre Aircooled.

I know with the beetle you have to,but the t25 looks like it has better access so you might get away with it.

if you just lower engine down its possible but its loads easier to just remove engine as most of the cheese head screws will either round of or need heat to get them out , especially the ones near the fuel pump and back of engine

Tinware screws are a bas#*%d. Give them the 24 hours Pepsi treatment and a wire brush and a big long correct size screwdriver. Agreed drop the engine.
I had mine stripped and powder coated. Total overkill.
