rear wheel bearing

hi all, the rear wheel bearing on my van started humming yesterday and i wondered is it safe to use it till i can get one from brickwerks ?

They'll hum for ages ... I drove back from the south of France in an Escort with a humming rear bearing ... not that it weighed 2 Tonnes though. Don't forget it needs doing asap though, like after the holiday season.
