Right, I have spent a good few minutes searching the forum and looking at the tech help and wiki but there is no information on changing an air filter on the 1.6 JX engine when there is a bloody gert cupboard base in the way!
How do other westfalia owners get their filter out to change it? There is not enough clearance to get the thing out or is there a trick I'm missing.
I hasten to add I (still) do not possess a manual of any kind, been flying by the seat of me pants so to speak. I need to get this changed as I have the spanish equivalent of the MOT due now, luckily the van is not needed for daily use!
While I wait for an answer I will be out there trying to fathom it out meself......
TIA
Jon

S'Ok, no mystery techniques required. Went back and had a good look and just decided that undoing the strap bolts would give me enough play to slide it out on the diagonal and, it did!
Really, really must get a manual for these easy small jobs!
