You just need to convince yourself that the word 'hassle' can be replaced by 'challenging' and 'interesting'!

I chose a pre 90 camper because the electrics are to put it mildly..simple, compared to something just a little older.
You can use old wiring diagrams from bays as it hasn't changed that much.
the only things technical on the T25 list are for me
relay 43
the pronged water sensor.
the complex warning and guage circuitry
I'm sure others will say "but that's the easy stuff", so I guess it's all subjective.

So our vans wiring is different Kev?
I'd always assumed that the wiring only altered (in essence, rather than the occassional up-grade to include more up to date equipment) when they swapped from Aircooled to watercooled. I've always (so far) found my wiring tallies exactly with the Haynes manual wiring diagrams when I've been fiddling and that covers vans from 1982 to 1990.

I think what I was trying to say is the wiring is simple but you are starting to see electrical components not previously seen on VW vans.
like R43 and the PCB in the dash, which are complicated to me

It's not a relay I know that, it is to do with water temp management

I can see why you struggle with it then

I don't have a relay 43 :(

Ok im a mechanic but the wiring on these vans is sooooooooooo simple , like Kev put anything after about 2000 it starts to get tricky! Canbus wiring is a night mare as its basicly one big computer!
