Hi
I'm new to the eberspacher... When I first started using it I got the F11 error message which means low current so I charged my leisure battery (my daily journey obviously not enough to do this) and it started working. Now I have the F52 error which I think is a fuel issue... The tank has fuel in it so not sure what is going on.
My question... Does anyone know where I can get this thing serviced? I'm in the north Shropshire/Wrexham/Chester area.
Cheers

Re: Eberspacher servicing
Assuming Airtronic model as you haven't said what model.
Service not needed usually, just simple checks:
F52:
Perform fuel-quantity test.- (just check that fuel is being delivered)
Check combustion air and exhaust hose for blockage. (Also check heating air intake for dead mice, latest kids fluffy toy, sweet wrappers etc.)
+
Test glow pin / glow plug.
Test flame sensor
If it has not been used for a while there is a strong likelyhood that you have air in the fuel line. Half a dozen or more starts will usually clear it. Also check that there is a continuous rise on the fuel line between the pump and heater, that the fuel line is butted firmly against the the spigot inside any rubber connecting pieces, this prevents air locks forming which restrict the fuel flow.
F11 is low voltage.

Re: Eberspacher servicing
Hi
Thanks for this... I did a check and found my lads toy had got stuck next to an air inlet! Seems to work fine now, however, it takes a long time (perhaps 30 minutes) for the air coming out to get properly hot ie so that it is uncomfortable to keep your hand in front of it. Is this normal or should it get up to heat quicker?
Thanks again- much appreciated.

Re: Eberspacher servicing
It should take around 15 minutes or so - but that is all dependant upon the temperature of the air going in - if the ambient temperature is -10 it will take a lot longer.

Re: Eberspacher servicing
Thanks again! To be fair I was doing it last night and it was bl**dy cold!
I think perhaps I'm expecting too much from it.
Cheers again.
