Whining pulsing sort of noise
The Doka has, at high/peak revs and under load, a pulsing, whining noise, it comes in short burst very when accelerating hard ( in a JX
) sounds like its coming from rear & low. I did think it was the canopy resonating but I think its more mechanical. Maybe from box or prop? its in short bursts not sustained (maybe a very fractional loss of power to coincide) - fairly loud. Could it be exhaust / turbo issue. Will try and get someone to listen today.

Blow off valve is leaking.
Remove the valve.
Remove the brass screw.
Remove the spring.
Drop in a piece of 8mm tube cut to 20mm long.
Put the brass screw back in and jam the valve shut.
Refit to the vehicle.

BOV are we talking about the turbo here? if so do you mean the actuator or the actual valve within the turbo? or is it something completely different

Dogs get to ride shotgun, unlike the kids.

8mm tube cut to 20mm long
any preference on the kind of tube , plastic , metal etc?
Out of interest by jamming the valve shut what are the consequences? why is it there in the first place?
Valve body is off and waiting for the fix
cheers

Re: Whining pulsing sort of noise
removed spring and fitted a piece of plastic tube from my 'kitchen fitting' box of stuff. Its cured the problem, (slightly concerned that this piece of unspecified plastic may ,melt??) and i think I have more oomph, definitely feels like there's more about the boost.
Good fix for now but am i pushing the problem further down the line?
