diesel glow plug buzzer

Post by Hacksawbob »

Hi my glow plug light doesn't work for a couple of reasons, I want to wire in a buzzer that will just come on while the plugs are active, I was thinking between the buss bar and earth, or would it be better put in the relay in the junction box, its just a bit tight in there, but a bit less warm and viberaty. Any thoughts?

The glow plugs heat for about 30seconds but when I start the engine they come back on for a few seconds after the engine starts, is that right?

They should stay on for a short while after the light goes out - not everyone knows that. :)

Ah Ok. I have my alternator belt slipping on start up and screeching for a bit. Probably just wants tightening.
