Over the past few weeks the temperature light starts flashing after driving for bout 15 mins, if i stop and turn the engine off and start it again it's out for a while then starts flashing again. usually the guage is reading steady at halfway but on the odd occasion it will flash befor it's up to normal temp. Is starting to relly pee me off so any ideas what prob might be would be great as i don't do mechanical stuff!
Cheers

Re: Temp light flashing but not hot?
Everything you need to know about the flashing coolant temp light is in the wiki, here;
https://club8090.co.uk/wiki/Co ... ht_on_dash
But basically it flashes when either the coolant is overheating or if the coolant fluid level in the headertank falls below a set level. If the gauge is showing a normal temp (as I think you said) then chances are that it is being triggered by the fluid level sensor (which may be indicating a fault or the sensor often misbehaves giving a false indication).
