Window leak!
I fitted new window rubbers to the two side windows at the rear a little while ago.
Yesterday i tested them and found they have a leak at the top and also a leak at the bottom.
When i fitted them i put silicone into the rubber as an extra protection but that hasnt worked.
Should i fit the rubber without the silicone mastic?
Or is there a better way of making it waterproof.
I also have a slight leak in the front door window. If i replace the hockey stick shape rubber will this do the job?

Re: Window leak!
Silicon has no place on vehicle windows. Stuff you want is roofing mastic in a tube as it'll stay soft beneath the rubbers and fill any gaps.

I would reccomend you read a little more on here firstDennis403 wrote:I would recommend that you contact with an expert such as an vehicle glass store for help. Clear silicone sealant works, but it might look like rubbish after a while, especially if you glob it on or smear it when you apply it.
why all this use of mastics and sealants , just make sure hole is correct and use the correct seals fitted correctly.

Re: Window leak!
If there isn't a silly sized gap between the rubber and seal then Captain Tolley will fix it. Just run it around the seal/metal join. Sounds like a crap product but it is really good.
