External gas locker

Post by b-f-c »

I've got a very tired homebuilt conversion and am going to revitalise it over the coming months. The original gas storage location was in a cupboard over the engine and unventilated. So I want to move it somewhere more practical, but not accessed from within the van.

I've seen these EMC external lockers for the 907 bottles and quite fancy one, but it seems like they're rocking horse manure these days. I've also seen where gas locker doors from caravans have been used with a locker built from ply inside with the drop out fitted.

Suppose I'm asking has anyone fitted one of the EMC lockers or a caravan locker, if so, any suggestions where I can get an EMC locker from. Or if you've done the caravan locker option, how did you get round the curvature of the body?

Photos to show what I'm blabbering on about :?

Thanks guys

i am thinking you would be causing problems with that huge hole in the side of the van.
Makes much more sense to fit a underfloor tank ( available from Gasure or eBay) and save you some storage and rot problems ?
