To sell syncro or not to sell?
Thinking of changing pop top to tin but then would also like a caravelle interior. Is it worth making changes to current van or selling it and buying a tin top caravelle?

I would like to fit a full roof rack. I dont want the exrta roof beds and i like the look of the tin top better.
Its more for full roof rack and fitting spot lights on roof.
I can probably change from pop to tin myself but it is hassle as i dont have a garage big enough and uk weather isnt great.

Ahh..permission to speak has been granted...if I really needed a roof rack I would have to sell and buy a different van....changing roof tins is not easy to do, or is it easy to find a roof, or worth the effort..x
By different van I mean different syncro t3 van...not tranvestshite..

Indeed it is...and then there's the headliner to faff with...I personally hate rusted roof repairs and if I was buying a van that had had a roof welded on it would need to be extremely good before I would consider it...do you still have the gutters? Maybe a roof rack could be fitted over the pop top and removed? Or a towbar and trailer? What are you wanting to carry?

I didnt think of the headliner.
Once i have the van/a van just how i want it im not going to sell it.
Need to find someone selling a tin top syncro.
I prefere the stream line look with them.

How tall are you?
Do you find the steering difficult in the wind?

Re: To sell syncro or not to sell?
I'm 5.10, dark hair, blue eyes.. Lots of room but its a vw hitop, it does catch the wind a bit but makes life interesting! It's not so much its difficult to steer in the wind...more its difficult not to! can blow off line a bit but nothing to major.
