Ive been thinking of changing my vw from pop top to tin top.
Has anyone done this?
What would the cost be to have welding done to make it tin top again?
How much is a pop top worth?
Thinking of getting rid of pop top.

Do you mean if i sold my vw or the cost to get the welding would cost more that the selling price of just the pop top roof it worth.

If you sold the van.
BIG backwards step you're contemplating.

I suppose. The only other alternative is selling my vw and getting a tin top.

I agree. Westie conversions are worth top dollar. If you decide to go down that route you will have a two berth van not a four berth camper. If you don't care then go ahead but it would be a shame. You could of course sell it as it is buy a tin top and pocket the difference. Doh you just beat me to it.
