Well theres more gob in that arch then Id like to think about using in a whole van, gthe fridge panal is a work of art , its only missing some lining paper, will shell the interior out tomoz and get to the nitty gritty, not seen any yeppow yet but given time,
suspect the os inner floor, b post, c post , jp's, rear i/4 both sides, inner rear 1/4 both sides,panal behind filler part of b post both sides, steps have been bodged,front panal is upset with itself, screen pillar is rotten where the aerial goes,filler holes vent goosed, lower fridge panal wants filling in anyhow as not really needed may be this time i cut a load out as when thats gone it wont look so bad

it is and i actually climbed the rear rust inspectxxxx rear ladder and lookin the back and received a very fine reflection, there are a few nice bits,

ah kev early days yet but i feel there will be work required to the os screen pillar as if i was to yank,yes yank the aerial i reckon most of the pillar would come away,
im sure there will be some nice interesting bits to m ake, wiull know by the end of the week....

well much as i want to really get into the rot, first i have to get the clutter out the way,time consuming boredom
anyhow this is a komet and for the benefit of folk that havent yet,this is how it generaly came appart
cushions and bed/seat out the way, then the support for the bed basescrewed both ends and brks in the centre

nice big tank, need this kick board out but more work either end

there are screws along the top and this takes the top coveer off then a row of screws to hold the body on

sneaky little screws in the bottom and behind

the nsr side panal trim now lifts out after its half dozen screws!
ive taaken the doors of to give easier access as all this has to be removed

and the other side then i can remove the kick board

the fridge i decided to remove early on but to get good access i choose to remove the sink,hehe

then i removed the external ventcovers. Oooo

to find the flue pipe joined with GAFFA tape !


this is the electric side of the fridge

and this the gas v/v and ignition unit(12v)

and out it slides after removing the 2 screws that screw through the side panals into the fridge

so started on the unit again, some of the screws were so rusted that i had to dismantle part well most of the stuff to get it out without breaking, all the lids came off in one shot

loads of cabling and such, the biggest dissapointment was the propex, well not the unit but the stat, cable had been run up trunking between the windows, bliddy great ugly stuff and the stat then secured across this and in such a way that precebted the locker lid from opening ... lazy sloppy . i intend to relocate this and route the cabling out of sight

well it took and hour or so longer than just that...
and this is looking in through the lower fridge vent, not a lot to see, literally



this is a fair bit rough and will need the full inner making and replacing, this next pick you should just note a little raising/swelling of the area under the horizontal bit of wood that forms the lower rear stop/sealface for the fridge

this suggests that there is a problem under it, so i will have to remove the water tank and strip out the ply floor and expose what i think will be there
i stated that its had a new factory nsr wing well this is a shot of the inside, it has been glued on to the arch I think , hard to tell whats been going on here but will get to the bottom of it
nice repair to make here , not done this particular area so will be nice change

and here is where the camera died so no more pickies till i get one no smilie for a donation

1664 - yeah it's our LPG tank as we had her converted to dual fuel a few months ago at Gasure in Chester.

yes its for motive power ! thinngs you have to do to run petrol vans....
anyhow its of now and im sitting through a pbucket upload on a borrowed kojak..
