Heater core refit

Post by holdenadam »

Hi all,

Had the dash off and removed the blower motor housing to replace it.
When i eventually got the 2 halves apart lots of bits fell out.

These are now all back in however there is a metal piece ( the length of the heater core ) and i am not sure if it goes into the housing before the heater core is fitted or after.

Pretty sure it goes in before ( ie: at the front of the housing )

Just want to be 100% before i refit it all.

Thanks for reading this

Adam

The deflector plate goes into the housing with the matrix placed on top of it. Then replace the top of the casing.
:ok

Nightmare..
Took ages to find out where they are from.

The only place i can see ( and they fit ) are from either side of the fan at the front of the unit behind the 2 massive holes.
They hang down from the 2 lugs at each end of the flap.
They snap into the top of housing.

Send me your number and i can send a pic

Put the whole lot back together and now the 2 flaps inside are rattling around. Aargh

Also the heating is now non existent and the van is overheating.

Looks like it will need bleeding.
