Heating

Post by Trunkster »

Not realy sure where to put this question so I thought I would try here first!
If I was to put a different engine in an air cooled I know I would have to fit a rad and pipework into the front. How difficult is it to sort out the heating into the cab? Is there a particular heater blower fan etc the fits or is a t25 fan from another van the best option.
If in doubt give it a clout!

Just started converting an air cooled t25 to diesel. I bought a very rotten 1983 diesel as a donor vehicle. The water cooled heater assembly behind the dash mounts in different places but on my van the mounting points were there ready to bolt into, so was quite straightforward. Will be installing radiator, cooling pipes and heater hoses next before finally fitting engine.
1982 was 2ltr a/c then 1.9d 5spd, now 1.9tdi with passat box. Reimo pop top.
