Stereo help

Post by lefty67 »

looking to fit a stereo into the van. These wires come from the hole where the stereo should be. Are these wires anything to do with a stereo and if so will they be ok for a modern one.

yes they would be OK for a new one
you may have to buy a universal connector or whats called an ISO connector for the unit (Halfords sell them) for your new unit and the earth (black) and live (red) will fit to. the other thicker cable is the ariel
Might be a good time to see where the power comes from and connect to the leisure battery if the red wire is using the main batt

ISO speaker and power connectors...

There will be a description of what the various wires should connect to, if you don't have them just ignore it.
There will be an electric ariel, power save, sub power, earth, live, second live and so on
