i would say that it might be worth £7-800 at a push definately no more. and thats if the drive train works which you cant test as the engine is dead :!: :run :run :run

£700-£800 max ? a 2wd one would make that, the vindic could make £500,it might not be worth £3000 but 800 is nonesense,
the vehicle is nothing to do with me just felt i had add something.mike

Been listed twice at £3k now. As said, Vindic is worth £3-500 and those belly protectors are worth a few bob. I'd say the lot is reasonable at £1.2k: the body is rusted in places where repro panels aren't available, no engine and you have to tow it off the IOW.

the last vindic on ebay made about £280 so i`ll stick with 800, put a cheap jx in it and show people that the drivetrain is ok and it might just sell but without that i would say that its best left alone but your more than welcome to prove me wrong
:ok

Thanks for the input people.

I actually sold a van in worse condition (scrap really!) for £1000 about 2 years back but i did guarantee the boxes as i drove it before i sold the engine.

I suppose the attitude of "i'll leave it to rot" is going to put off potential purchasers. It certainly put me off making an offer!

It's a pity really as it' will stop somebody enjoying it...after a lot of work!...and money or course!

Out of curiosity, where do you think it's rusted where repro panels are not available please?

Don't think all doka specific (the back bits) panels are still available.

i offered £1500 to the guy when it first was advertised, he seemed quite pee'd off with me, said he knew what it was worth. The let it rot comment as said above is not good in an ad, would put me off. 3k would be ok if it was running and roadworthy, going by the pics, its more dented than rusted. But still means panel replacements, unless like me you wouldnt care

agreed, value and worth are subjective ,some vans are fit for breaking and would realize more than sale, others not right to break, 1500 wasnt derisory given what is and isnt known, it will sell for what a buyer values it at, same as anything else asnd not what a vendor perceives it to be worth,
