Re: Caravelle folding bed problem
It sounds like what you have is not actually a Caravelle bed, but a Westfalia one. This would have been removed from a Westfalia camper, and installed in your bus at some stage. I might be wrong though - I'm hardly an expert!

Re: Caravelle folding bed problem
Sounds like you have a multivan seat not a caravelle. There are 2x types of multivan seats, one bolts into the side of the body and uses the locking pins, the other type bolts to the floor and has no rear locking pins.faggie wrote:just recently checked the caravelle seats i have in my bus and van and it does not use any securing pins on the side of the van the rock n roll system gives it enough support , in fact there are no securing latches in the seat , on the bottom of seat there is a fibreglass cover plate this has a tag plate with westfalia on it, anyone seen or using the same seat this is a full width rear bed seat in the factory caravelle grey material
Re: Caravelle folding bed problem
i have 2 of these rear seat beds one of them definately came out of a caravelle think it was the gl model as i removed it myself , its in the grey caravelle material same as you get on the captains chairs and it fits the van perfect no big gap down the side between seat and side panel and i have caravelle panels fitted not the moulded plastic multivan ones
