Have an autohomes komet;
Just went to take engine battery out (not leisure battery) to put on charge. Then realised I cannot 100% remember which is which?
One is under drivers seat and under front passenger seat
Anyone got a definative answer?

Usually vehicle battery under drivers seat. Disconnect the earth terminal, then turn on your ignition. If the dash lights come on, you've got the wrong battery.

Cheers Wychall,
Identified right one now thanks however, as with everything, nothing is straight forward!! Can't get the fecker over the seat lip to get it out
Had to take a break and a relax. Hopefully don't have to take the seat off!

If you are still on original T25 seats then there is a little clip on the side that allows you to slide the seat forward completely off the tracks.

Doesn't that kinda depend which seat the driver's sitting in...?
Starter battery = RHD driver/LHD passenger.

In Britain, we
usually have RHD vehicles. Anyone who feels the need to pilot from the left ought to be savvy enough to transpose the
usual instructions. They're the oddball, not me. My imported vehicle is still RHD.

Because, of course, the OP is the only person who may ever find this thread and think "Ooh, that's something I need to know..."

Hi
Thanks Bob for posting video showing how to remove seat, to gain access to battery.
I had never worked that out, and have been unbolting seat from turntable to get it out.
Now it is so easy........what a muppet.
Cheers.

Just as a matter of interest (and I know what the blindingly obvious answer is) on a LHD is the starter battery still under the drivers seat? Can't think of a particular reason why it couldn't be under either seat myself.
Are we going on anything else?
