Heater control valve

Post by stephen t25 »

Hi all, i have a whitestar with a 1.9 1z tdi and am having a problem with the heater control valve. i am now on my 3rd valve this year and have just come home and its failed again. the van never runs hot( always half way on the gauge) and the charge cooler does its job well. the valves i have used are the GSF ones and they seem go at the bottom or where the arm scews in and just leaks coolant. Has anyone experianced this or has any thoughts on it, i would be very grateful, me thinks that the gsf ones are just poor quality and nothing more synister is afoot.
