I'd love to but got a spot of flat-4 bother, nothing to do with water (other than the stuff falling out of the sky)

Kudos to the 2CV driver tackling that stuff in a fwd on skinny tyres :ok

Ok - looks like Lisa, the 2 boys and myself are in.
Probably Saturday and Sunday. We might even be able to make it down on the Friday night to camp, if i can get away from work early. :ok

That's my brother - he used to be into lowered Beetles and then he saw me having more fun in the mud! He'll be very jealous of the Mehari!

Heya,

Sounds like a great weekend! I'll definitely try and make it down with the Syncro (plus other half and the dog). Not even washed the last lot of mud off yet!

I'm using the same sleeping bag I've had since I was 14, maybe it's time for a new one!

Roger might not be able to make it now, and warns that the location that we're using on the Sunday is not very Syncro friendly. Lots of trees and narrow tracks.

Seth, last time I was there was October 2011 and the chap who runs it said we should have been there on the Saturday as he keeps the place open for Paintball on Sundays as its his main income from the site? he apparently forgot to tell us!.
The site is mostly through a wood with narrow very muddy rutted tracks manmade purely for off roading.
In the middle of this is the paintball site which you dont have access to unless you pay to go there seperately.
I ventured off piste after a two trips around the course and got bored  , bent one of the side panels  trying to negotiate one of the trails left by previous trialers,it is also very wet underfoot, quite boggy in places, spent a lot of time waiting while the Landrovers got well bogged down and were struggling to get towed out.
Still hoping to attend, emergencies permitting, but probably Non Syncro.

He definitely wants us there on Sunday, so he must have changed the arrangements this year. We're the first club to use the site this season (he closes it over summer) so it shouldn't be too torn up, but it has been wetter than usual. The conditions at these sites can change from week to week, so we won't really know what it's like until we get there.

Hey Seth, trying to sign up to the Baja forum, got a bit stuck with the question about the first name! Any chance you could PM me the details?

Thanks again.

The event went really well, and just like last year we had great weather. We'd had a lot of rain leading up to the weekend though, so it was very wet in places - which makes things interesting!
