With the eurospec kit, you might want to check the mounts are compatible with the longitudinal engines before you part with your cash.

So it seems the Eurospec option is a no go.
It runs a different gearbox mount, which shifts the engine 1 1/2 inches. This means I can't use their engine bars unless I buy the whole kit and junk the KEP.
Easier to make some new engine bars. :|

if the engine is upright,can you not recofigure the rear engine bar that has been fabricated? lift the rear of the engine up and make a new raised engine lid?

Yes, but you make it sound so easy :lol:
Need to crank it over to the 15 degree position on the adaptor too.
Already have a raised lid, so no problem there. :ok

I think he meant without canting it over the 15 deg.

Hmm, that's the one thing I'm really unsure of. In the donor passat it was mounted at 15 degrees, but now it's at 0.
What about oil pick up etc?
