Early sliding door handle dimensions please?

Hi folks, my recent acquisition arrived minus a sliding door handle. My van is 1983 model, can anyone please tell me how long the sliding door handle is for this year of van, I understand there are two -one up to 1985 and another for later vans?

My sliding door handle (1982) is 8 inches long,or as Nigel Farage would say 20cm,not sure how much shorter the later handle is.
I ended up buying two for mine,as on the first one I just could not remove the grub screw holding the lock barrel in,so if you want to swap over locks or have it re-set to take your existing key, it may be worth asking the seller to check the lock barrel will come out.They can be tricky to find ,expensive or both.
