Choosing my colour scheme, its time to get out the roller!

Post by Shem »

After months of trying to decide on a colour or colours, whether to spray, pay some one or roll it myself, I think Ive finally decided on a colour scheme for the T25.

So, I initially thought Id go dark as I've drawn up here in the before and after

But the Mrs wants to go more conventional and lighten things up, so I think were settling on a very pale green/mint van and a white roof.

Im going to give the roller system a go. Ive already spent weeks sorting out the body work, and its all nice and solid and smooth..only a couple of bits to go. So its a big sand back and hey presto paint goes on, or so I hope. Ive read all the paint your bud threads, watched the videos, etc. What I could do with is somewhere inside to do it all, but well see!

What I wondered was if any one has any great ideas for colour schemes, styles etc, before I go ahead and order the paint? :ok

Ive also got a set of 17" 225 for her new shoes, and Im debating re alloying or spraying these a gun metal grey ...oooo the stress of it all :P

I'd go light. I've done two coats of brown over what was previously yellow and I'm going back to yellow in spring. A pale blue with which roof and bumpers would look good on yours I reckon

I like the idea of a pale blue myself....but have a mate near by with a very similar colour scheme, so want to look different.
another decision now is white wheels or re alloy them, Ive stripped them down already

Shem, pop round and have a look at the roller paint on the van. I guarantee you will not be disappointed! You're 3 miles away! If you manage to sort out a place to paint her indoors let me know if I can fit ours in too. we are nearly finished doing our 2 tone orange and white job but the weather is holding us back soo much...

Also, shem, you interested in a amplifier for the sound in the van? got two but only installing one.. it's a pioneer 2.3.4 channel 80w per channel for some awesome sounds?
moving again...
