My dash instrument lights are not working; I’m stuck trying to get the bulb holder out of the white plastic housing. I have searched on hear and wiki, the only info I can find is to turn it half a turn.
They are not budging with reasonable force.
Has anyone carried out bulb replacement, and can advise me.
Cheers

Pliers. 90 degree turn anti-clockwise. Be careful of damaging the flexible pcb

Actually, if all three lamps are out it's probably an electrical issue and replacing the lamps won't help.

Have you checked to ensure that the dimmer switch under the headlight switch has not been moved?

I should have looked on Brickwerks before buying a separate bulb and flaffing about, they have the bulb complete with housing. But having checked the bulb, it’s not that. However, the pliers and 90 degree turn worker a treat.
I have ordered a replacement MPH Speedo Dial today, so I will check or change the headlight switch and dimmer at the same time.
Thanks for your help.

Oh sorry, I didn't realise you were trying to remove the lamp from it's housing else I'd have mentioned that they're not meant to be removable....philat1 wrote:I should have looked on Brickwerks before buying a separate bulb and flaffing about, they have the bulb complete with housing.

Not a problem, you wasn't t know how green I am. It's been awhile since I worked on motors, takes me back to the good old days, along with a hint of frustration. I've entered the world of VW camper man.
I'm fitting new liesure battery today and trying to sort out the Trumatic e 1800 heating.
