Cab door seals

Post by chappers »

The latest problem are the new cab doors seals, the contour is good on the door and comparing them with the old ones but when they are fitted the door doesn't shut all the way, just enough with a big push to engage the door catches. Seals are vw ones from vw heritage.

Any ideas, as I am tempted to fit the old ones back in!

Cheers

well if they are genuine and you have fitted them correctly i would suggest easing the striker plate out a touch and if when slowly closing they seem to pivot around the front sealk then make sure they are well and truly in the correct position , if so then maybe move the door out a touch on th hinges , one hinge at a time so as not to cause drop. after time they should take a bit more adjustment and do this
