Hi guys
So, after our visit to Busfest at the weekend, plus an estimate from a guy who does campers up, we have decided to try and do as much of our bus repairs ourselve as possible. We dont want an immaculate van - in fact, we'd like a rat. But not a complete rust bucket (which it is now).
Firstly, can anyone recommend a book/mag/dvd on removing and replacing body panels.
Secondly, we will need some new panels... we are looking for breakers parts... anyone know of anyone? I will list on another thread what we need.
I know i have asked similar questions before but I'm at a loss as to where to start (but very motivated!)
Thank you
Where do we start? and we need some panels!

Nope their ain't no book, best advice is to search through MM's posts. Takes time but eventually you'll find the info you need. From experience MOT stuff is reasonable but bodywork takes a lot of time and effort.
Without pics it's difficult to comment further, other than to say if you can't weld learn cos it will save a fortune.

Lots of threads on here about replacing/repairing just about every panel and very helpful people if you get stuck, i've found Schofields panels to be fairly good nice people to deal with too

Unless yours has gone in some very unusual places, you'll be hard pushed to find good used sections to replace rotten bits. Nobody breaks rust-free vans unless they're badly bent.
