A while back I had the head gasket done on my JX turbo diesel, shortly after the van would blow white smoke out when cold. It wasnt too bad when just tickling along but loads when accelerating. After about ten minutes and when the van had fully warmed up the van would stop smoking! The engine has only done 65000 from new so its in very good shape and runs fine even with the smoke problem. Not that i know too much about it but the engine does sound as if its not firing spot on when idling.
Can any of you guys suggest what it is most likely to be, the mechanics i have asked say it may be an injector problem? Ive had all the injectors out and to be honest they look like new. I'll change them all for new but if it could be something else it seems a bit of a waste.
Any advice will be appreciated

Re: White Smoke Problem
Have the injection pump timing checked[white smoke on start means the timing is retarded!].
On starting from cold do you use the cold start lever?
