Propased new EU MOT rules

There is an article in the Sun newspaper today about the eu wanting to change the MOT , if you vehicle is not exactly the same as it was when it left the factory then it will fail. The implications of this are horendous has anyone heard or know anything about this and if it is true is there anything as a club that we can do to oppose it.

Been quite a few posts on here the yard and many other modded forums over the last month or so

It's only a consultation at present, if and if it comes in it would be years away.

Lol nice to see the Sun is so in touch .

It's not even based on a reading-with-clue of the proposals, either.
