Westy pop top / factory sunroof

Post by ropeman23 »

My van has a factory fitted sunroof and after many sunny and rainy camping experiences I have decided to fit a pop top, to give us more space. I've tracked down an original westy roof which I intend fitting.

1. Am I right in thinking the roof hole with the sunroof wound back is about the same size as the hole cut in a Westy roof?

2. Will I have any problems fitting a bed in the roof?

3. Is there anything I should know with regards to using a van with a sunroof and a pop top as a posed to having a standard setup?

Thanks

Thanks for the reply. Think I should be ok for roof strength, it's strong enough for me to climb out and sit on. just having problems deciding whether to put the pop top on or not. I really enjoy cooking with my head out of the roof. ...
