Replacing hard plastic fuel line.

Post by djhammy »

Hi Folks.

In case any one is looking for the hard plastic fuel line which is difficult to source i came across this bundle whilst surfing some US suppliers.

35.41 Dollars including shipping to Blighty. About £22.37.

http://www.gowesty.com/ec_view_details.php?id=23642" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Designed for use with 7mm hose. By the way is there any reason why i couldn't use 7mm instead of the normal 5.5 as thinking of buying this and the hose bundle they do and replacing the lot.

Cheers

Dave

Only what i surmised from previous threads on here that i had seen.

Yes it joins the normal fuel hose from the tank then runs for a section under the van into the engine bay where it joins the standard hose again.

I see the e-bay hard plastic hose has an outer diameter of 8mm. i assume this is larger than the original stuff so won't fit inside the 5.6mm rubber fuel hose.
