Connecting awnings

Post by bigblue »

Recently went for our first camping trip (in the rain!). Connected the awning (Rpyal Traveller Tunnel) using the pole and clamps. The rains came and basically leaked through the gutter/pole and dripped into the van when the sliding door was open. So, tried the figure of 8 connectors cos we had them as well. Same problem! I've got a Holdsworth Villa with the black beading round the gutter, although that doesn't stop the figure 8 connecting. Bit of a nuisance. Anyone else have this problem?

Hi, Yes I have the same problem although I cannot connect to the gutter so use the clamps/pole . I also have a Holdsworth Villa and the water does come through the gap where the centre clamp fits ( right over the sliding door! ) Not been able to resolve this although have given it a lot of thought. We are going away in the bus this weekend so will have another look at it ! Therefore I would also be grateful for any tips please....!
