windscreen wipers

windscreen wipers not working? washers and heater blower not working? looked in manual it says all three run from one 16amp fuse. checked fuse all ok. tried another fuse in same location but still not working. any ideas on what i can check next? :(

sounds like earthing issue if you still getting voltage at that fuse.

Just checked with cheap volt meter took fuse out. When putting fuse back accidently popped in top of fuse and touched one next to with bottom of fuse which made them work then when put fuse in position properly not working again. So will check earthing tomorrow. Think you prob hit nail on head. Than andyb for reply :D

People always forget that a circuit means that the electrickery needs a complete circuit which includes the negative portion.

hmmm someone correct me if Im wrong - this isnt earth problem - fuse is all supply current - for some reason your not getting a +ve feed to that fuse - not sure what side - top and bottom depends on what way you look at it - your getting power to adjacent fuse - is probably a loose feed to that fuse and thats most proably at the fusebox - Id investigate there.

Ah! no such thing as obvious with my knowledge of electrickery. :roll: So stick with me. On this and I will see if I can make sense of it all. Thanks for feedback though.

Yep l have cleaned all terminals and now seem to be all working again. Thanks for your help chaps. No doubt there will be another stupid question soon :D
