235/75/15 on a 14"

Post by robobobo »

Hi All
I think I made a bit of a hasty move. I knew I needed 215s but have ended up buying some 235/75/15 Bf Goodrich all terrains in a moment of brain block. They are to go on my 14" syncro caravelle with all standard but new springs and dampers. I only brought 2 used (full tread) and planned to buy the rest new.
I had intended on either mefros or a set of merc steels.
I've read a few posts that suggest I might get some clearance issues with the arches, is anyone running these on a standard 14" syncro. Is there a particular rim I could use to avoid problems or should I just get rid and buy the 215s.

The Mefros on German eBay look the cheapest option with postage, anyone selling a decent set second hand or a nice set of unmashed merc's.

Thanks in advance for yer advice, always appreciated. :ok

I've not run that size on a t3. FYI. I think Aidan is putting an order in for mefros soon

i think that you will foul the lip/seam on the trailing arm and the rear lower section on the front wings on full lock during full compression if every thing else is standard on the van,

i think this was the size that jake is/was using on his van.

Thought very much, ill try Jake and Aiden. Seems not much point taking the risk especially as i have to buy 2 more to even try them out properly.
In which case i may have a couple of good used 235s if anyone wants em, i'm hoping the guy might keep them but i did commit so ill have to cough up if not.

is that Jake as in capt Jake

The guy has kindly agreed to relist the tyres if I pay the sale/insertion fee. So all good

Anyone know the most economical tyre supplier of, bfg 215 all terrains, guess I'll have to pluck up the courage to buy a new set. I've done the usual google search, anyone know of any good deals.

Don't want to get towed out of a field again, it's embarrassing. My road tyres were moving but just kept digging a bigger rut. :|

Cheers

I was recommended black circles when I was looking for some then got my local supplier to price match. £460 for 4 fitted.

Needed to fit longer studs but all is well :ok
