Looking for a campsite in Hampshire, any recommendations?

Post by Sjh_987 »

Hi,

Live in Southampton and am a recent campervan convert. Am looking for a campsite this weekend with my 2 year old and heavily pregnant wife (I know, genius idea!!!)

Any recommendations???

Many thanks

Stefan

Ps am not keen on new forest as most of the weekend will be spent in a traffic jam unfortunately.

Please see coped post below:

.......,,Sorry to take so long to come back with a date but i have eventually managed to book the Rally Field at http://www.greenhillholidays.co.uk.<br /><br />The dates for the meet are 25th, 26th and 27th August. I have booked us in for the nights of 25th and 26th. The cost is £10 per night and this includes use of the shower block on the main site.<br /><br />I hope these dates are ok but i think as this is a bank holiday weekend it should work out quite well.<br /><br />We are limited to 30 pitches but im sure this will be enough.<br /><br />As we did last year we will have a group BBQ on the Saturday night, and on the Sunday we will all cook something in our vans and lay it all out so everyone can try a bit of everything. I will bring the BBQ and charcoal but if anyone can bring a Gazeboo it would be useful.<br /><br />I will need a list of who is coming so please add your names below then copy & paste.<br /><br />Rob, Rachel + 2 or 3 kids and 2 Dogs.

Re above: Off A36 nr Whiteparish, there are a gang of us mtg this weekend. If yr a member, look under New Forest Meet - it's not quite the New Forest but looks like fun.

Daffy, there is no need to hijack someone else's thread. Post your thread about a proposed club meet in the appropriate place ie. ''Events, Trips & Shows'' - ''Club Camping & Meets''. The OP is looking for a campsite this coming weekend.

sjh_987, take a look at :- http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; for campsites & reviews etc. It is an excellent website. Also, don't forget the ''FunPlace2Camp'' thread further up this page. :)
