Leaky Window Seal

Post by Lynne »

Hugo seems to have a leak from the front window seal. There has been water by the pedals on the drivers side this past few days. On checking today, there is water running down the inside past the electrics by the steering wheel, down to the pedals and it appears to be coming from a piece of rust around the front window even though the rust is not particularly bad there. Have poured some water through the small hole and it does indeed send the water down to the pedal area. Is there anything we can bodge it with until we get it done properly? I'm not bothered what it looks like for a couple of months!

it will be well holed under the seal , get a mastic gun and some sealant and cut the nozzle so its a small hole then poke under and fill away , move the thing along, it will be from about say an inch on the vertical to at least3" of the horizontal , doing this may help for now and wont prejudice doing the job right with screen, screen/dash out
mm :ok
oh and dont worry about scratching the paintwork a bit as the welder will burn more off :rofl
