Alko Style towbar and big bumpers

Post by slobbo »

I currently have the westy style swan neck towbar and it works with the big bumpers but I want to swap to a alko style bolt on tow ball towbar so I can fit a Dave Cooper style motorbike rack. I also need to be able to drop the ball down a bit as the van is a Syncro and has been raised quite a bit.

Does anyone know where I can get a towbar to suit the big bumpers?
Cheers
Rob.

the standard oem swan neck AND the witter style towbars with bolt on balls are all the same with a couple of extra brackets to enable fitment to a big style bumper

so any witter will do and you just need to make some brackets which are 4/5mm steel strips about 30mm wide bent to the inside of the bumper to meet the bolt holes

dont have a pic available but hope you get the idea
